Jamnagar: An Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter carried out an emergency landing near Jamnagar earlier today, following a technical malfunction. All personnel onboard are safe, and no injuries or property damage have been reported.
Preliminary information indicates that the helicopter was on a routine training sortie when the pilot detected a technical fault. As a safety measure, the pilot chose to land the aircraft in an open field on the outskirts of Jamnagar, effectively avoiding any harm to civilians or infrastructure.
Superintendent of Police Premsukh Delu stated that the helicopter was forced to land near the Rangmati Dam, close to Changa village, due to technical issues. The incident occurred around 11 a.m., approximately 22 kilometers from the Jamnagar Air Force Station.
Following the emergency landing, IAF officials promptly reached the location and began an internal investigation into the matter, police added. DeshGujarat
