Gujarat Ministers to attend funerals of Pahalgam terror attack victims; CM cancells programmes on Thursday

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government today informed that the mortal remains of two late citizens of Bhavnagar, who died in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir, arrived at Ahmedabad Airport from Mumbai at around 8:55 pm tonight. Ministers Shri Hrishikesh Patel, Shri Harsh Sanghvi, Shri Jagdish Vishwakarma and Shri Mukesh Patel will be present in the funeral.
The mortal remains of a promising youth from Surat will be brought to Surat Airport from Delhi at around 11 pm. At that time, Union Minister Shri C.R. Patil, Minister Shri Harsh Sanghvi and Shri Mukesh Patel will be present at Surat Airport and will hand over the mortal remains of the promising youth to the family and offer condolences to the family.
Tomorrow, Minister Shri Harsh Sanghvi will join the last rites of the deceased youth in Surat.
All the programs of the Minister in Vadodara tomorrow have been cancelled.
In related development, the Chief Minister today announced Rs 5 lakh assistance to the families of the tourists from Gujarat who lost their lives in this attack and Rs 50,000 assistance to the injured tourists from the state.
