Gujarat Vandana Museum to come up at SoU in Kevadia

Narmada: The Gujarat government working to establish the Gujarat Vandana Museum near the Statue of Unity (SoU) at Kevadia to celebrate the state’s cultural heritage. The museum, which will span 12 acres with approximately 26,000 sq meters of built-up space, is currently in the early stages of planning.

The museum is planned to be located in Gora village, along the Narmada River at Kevadia. Design work for the project is already underway.

The museum will provide an overview of Gujarat’s establishment and its contributions to national development. It will focus on preserving Gujarat’s heritage while also highlighting its ongoing development and progress.

It is learned that the museum’s theme will revolve around “Gaurav-Siddhi-Utsaah,” reflecting Gujarat’s essence and traditions. There will be around eight technology-enabled galleries, featuring topics such as Gujarat’s gallantry, its contributions to the freedom struggle, the defining of the state’s boundaries, and the Mahagujarat movement of the 1950s, which led to the formation of Gujarat in 1960.

According to reports, the planning and content research for the Gujarat Vandana Museum have been completed, and exhibition design is now underway. Furthermore, the architectural design of the museum is 60% complete and progressing through the detailed design stage. DeshGujarat
