Toll rate notification for Dholera – Bhavnagar journey on NH-751 & NE-8 issued

New Delhi: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, on May 1, 2025, issued a notification announcing a new toll rate formula for portions of two key highway stretches in Gujarat. These include a 30 km section of National Highway 751 (NH-751) from Nari Junction near Bhavnagar to Adhelai(which is the tail end of Dholera SIR) and a 23 km section of National Expressway 8 (NE-8), also known as the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway, from Adhelai to Dholera SIR’s core portion.

The first tolled segment is part of NH-751, covering the stretch from Adhelai village to Nari Junction. This section spans from design kilometer 136.000 to 169.308, with a net tollable road length of 30.727 km.

The second tolled stretch lies on NE-8 and covers 23.860 km, extending from design kilometer 84.709 near Dholera Interchange to 109.019 at the Adhelai Interchange, which marks the endpoint of the NE-8.

According to the notification, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will manage these stretches and will collect tolls at the designated plaza located near Bhadbhid village in Bhavnagar district once tolling begins.

This development will improve travel between Bhavnagar and Dholera, as both stretches—NH-751 and NE-8—will provide seamless connectivity. NH-751 starts at Nari Junction near Bhavnagar and connects with the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway at Adhelai Interchange. The full expressway (SP Ring Road to Dholera) is still under construction, and it is 95 percent complete, as per the Chief Minister, who visited Dholera SIR last week. NHAI is expected to open the completed 23 km section from Adhelai to Dholera soon, enabling smoother travel between Bhavnagar and the Dholera SIR’s activation area. The toll formula is notified and declared for the same.
