Suspicious UAV blast near India-Pakistan border in Kutch; Probe underway
May 08, 2025
Kutch: A suspicious explosion occurred near the India-Pakistan border in Kutch early this morning. According to initial reports, a suspected drone struck a high-tension power line, triggering the blast. The incident took place around 6 a.m. in Dhrobana village, near the Khavda India Bridge area. The Indian Air Force and local police have launched an investigation, and security agencies have been placed on high alert. It has not yet been confirmed whether the flying object came from across the border. Further information is awaited.
According to West Kutch SP Vikas Sumba, as soon as the suspicious object was found near Khavda, the police immediately reached the site and handed it over to the Air Force unit. Further investigation is being conducted by the Air Force, with the BSF also involved in the inquiry.
This comes as tensions between India and Pakistan remain extremely high following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. In a decisive response, India launched missile strikes on nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Wednesday, reportedly killing several terrorists. Pakistan has reacted with strong condemnation and issued multiple threats in retaliation. DeshGujarat
