Polling for Visavadar and Kadi Assembly Seats By-elections in Gujarat on June 19

Gandhinagar: Gujarat will witness by-polls for two vacant assembly seats — Visavadar and Kadi — on June 19, the Election Commission declared today through a formal press release. While the Visavadar seat is vacant due to the resignation of then Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Bhupatbhai Bhayani (who later joined the BJP), the Kadi seat, which is reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates, is vacant due to the passing of then BJP MLA Karsanbhai Punjabhai Solanki.
As per the press release by the Election Commission, polling on both these seats will take place on June 19 (Thursday), while the counting of votes will take place on June 23 (Monday). The date before which the election shall be completed is June 25.
The last date for filing nominations is June 2, while the last date for withdrawal is June 5. DeshGujarat
