New Infosys Development Centre Inaugurated in GIFT City Gujarat

GIFT City, Gujarat – Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today inaugurated a development centre by Infosys in GIFT City. The new facility, established with an investment of Rs 32 crore, is poised to create employment opportunities for over 1,000 professionals.
The Infosys development centre will primarily focus on delivering cutting-edge financial technology solutions under the FinTech framework. This includes a strong emphasis on global services and innovation, with a special focus on developing a Fintech-centric approach incorporating AI and data analytics, blockchain, and cloud-based facility infrastructure. The centre will also provide advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-powered insights specifically designed for financial institutions, alongside analyzing secure and transparent solutions for digital payments, smart contracts, and asset tokenization.
Chief Minister Patel on this occasion said – Gujarat is ready to take the lead in making India a soft power leader and a leader in the knowledge-based economy. He also recalled the instrumental role of Infosys founder Narayana Murthy in establishing “i-Create,” an initiative that guides young innovators in Gujarat.
Infosys CEO Jayesh Sanghrajika, sharing insights into the company’s journey, highlighted Infosys’s four decades of experience in managing global enterprise systems and processes, providing expert guidance to clients in 56 countries with a workforce exceeding 3.20 lakh employees. He proudly noted Infosys’s recognition as one of India’s Best Employers in 2024 and its consistent ranking among the top 50 large companies in India’s Best Workplaces for Women for the fourth consecutive year.
The inauguration was attended by Principal Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Smt. Mona Khandhar; Chairperson, IFSCA, Shri K. Rajaraman; Senior Vice Presidents of Infosys, Shri Rajnish Malviya and Shri Niladri Prasad Mishra; and State ICT and e-Governance Director, Smt. Kavita Shah, along with other esteemed invitees.
