Surat: The city of Surat which is popularly called the bridge city of Gujarat due to very high number of bridges in the city, will get two more flyover bridges.

The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has planned construction of two more flyover/underpass in the city – one at Udhna tran rasta and the other near Niligiri in Limbayat area.

Udhna tran rasta based flyover will ease the traffic problem which persists throughout the day here. As per the plans the flyover will be built here at a cost of Rs. 89.10 crore with two lanes up on Surat – Navsari road near Udhna tran rasta and two lanes down.

An underpass is planned at a cost of Rs. 81.71 crore fro Kanthi Maharaj mandir to Niligiri near Nilgiri circle in Limbayat zone. It will ease the traffic coming from Magob, Godadara, Devadhgam areas. DeshGujarat
