Surat BRTS and city bus route changes announced for Jagannath Rath Yatra 2025

Surat: The annual Jagannathji Rath Yatra, a major religious procession celebrated with great fervor, will be held in Surat on Friday. The yatra will begin from the railway station and traverse key city routes including Delhi Gate, Falsawadi Circle, Sahara Darwaza Bridge, Ring Road Textile Market, Mandarwaja, Udhna Darwaza, Majura Gate, Athwa Gate, Sardar Bridge, Gujarat Gas Circle, Choksiwadi, Rander Road, Navyug College, Tadwadi, Palanpur Patiya, Ramnagar, Morabhagal, and Jahangirpura, concluding at the ISKCON Temple.
In light of the large number of devotees expected and the procession’s route through major city roads, the Surat Police have imposed a ban on the movement of heavy vehicles along the route from 6:00 AM on June 27 until the conclusion of the event. This action, notified under No. TAFK/Jagannathji/Rath Yatra/Notice/6982/2025, aims to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety.
In view of the above, all city and BRTS routes passing through the Jagannathji Rath Yatra route will be affected. Accordingly, the following changes will be made to the public transport services operated by the Surat Municipal Corporation on 27/06/2025.
