Lion rescued from 20 ft deep well in Damasa village of Una taluka

Una: A lion was rescued from the well in Damasa village of Una taluka. After hunting a calf, the lion tried to jump the fencing of Shiv Mandir when it fell in a 20 ft deep well. The mandir priest informed the forest department about the same, which resulted into rescue of lion from the well. The rescue operation led by RFO Lakha Bharwad and Forest officer Vira Chavda went on for around half an hour. The rescued lion was sent to Jasadhar based Anilam Care Centre for medical checkup, followed by its freedom in wild area again. Damasa village near Una has presence of two lions and one lioness on permanent basis. DeshGujarat
