Traffic diversion announced on Ahmedabad–Bhavnagar Highway for 3 months

Ahmedabad: Due to the critical condition of the bridge over the Valbhipur Branch Canal between chainage 102.600 km to 102.650 km on the Ahmedabad–Bhavnagar State Highway No. 01, the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd. (Dhandhuka) has directed that the bridge be closed to heavy vehicles until a new one is constructed. In light of this, B.R. Sagar, Additional District Magistrate of Ahmedabad, has issued an official notification under Section 33(1)(b) of the Gujarat Police Act, 1951, imposing a 90-day restriction on the movement of heavy vehicles over the affected stretch.
The ban will remain in effect from midnight of July 14, 2025, to midnight of October 11, 2025. During this period, traffic will be diverted through the following alternate routes:

Alternate Routes for Heavy Vehicles:
(1) Vehicles coming from Bagodara–Fedra or Vataman–Pipli–Fedra and heading towards Dhandhuka can proceed via Pipli through Dholera to reach Dhandhuka.
(2) Vehicles coming from Limbdi and heading towards Fedra–Pipli via Dhandhuka can travel through the Dhandhuka–Limbdi three-way junction, Ranpur Circle, Dholera three-way junction, and then reach Pipli via Dholera to continue towards Fedra–Ahmedabad.
(3) Vehicles coming from Paliyad–Ranpur and heading towards Bagodara–Ahmedabad or Pipli–Vataman via Dhandhuka can proceed through Ranpur Circle, Dholera three-way junction, and reach Pipli via Dholera to continue towards Ahmedabad and Vataman. Alternatively, vehicles from Paliyad–Ranpur can reach Ahmedabad–Vataman via Limbdi.
(4) Vehicles coming from Vallabhipur–Barwala and heading towards Bagodara–Ahmedabad, Pipli, or Vataman via Dhandhuka can proceed via Dhandhuka–Dholera three-way junction, then through Dholera and Pipli to reach Ahmedabad and Vataman.
