Heavy rain likely in 5 districts of Gujarat in next 24 hrs: IMD forecast

Kutch: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its latest forecast, has issued a weather warning for some districts of Gujarat, predicting heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in these areas.

During the next 24 hours, heavy rain is very likely at isolated places in the Gujarat region, particularly in Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, and Mahisagar districts, as well as in the Kutch district of Saurashtra-Kutch, the IMD bulletin said.

However, the rest of the state might only see light thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and surface winds reaching 30–40 kmph, along with light to moderate rain over the next 7 days till July 23rd.
