ACB Gujarat nabs Home Guard staffer in bribe case

Patan: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat has arrested a Home Guard member of the Patan unit in a bribery case involving a sum of Rs. 2,000.
According to the ACB, a Home Guard employee had filed a complaint. The complainant’s salary bill of ₹12,000 was to be approved, and the accused, Rajeshkumar Kantilal Vaishnav, demanded a bribe of ₹2,000 for the approval.
Acting on the complaint, the ACB team set up a trap at the Patan city Home Guard unit office on Monday. The accused, Rajesh Vaishnav, was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe from the complainant. The ACB seized the bribe amount from him.
