Gandhinagar: Police have arrested Daydo artist Devayat Khavad and five other accused in Dhruvrajsinh Chauhan attack case. They were arrested from a farm house near Dudhai in Surendranagar district. Police had earlier found two cars in abandoned condition from Dhanej village of Talala area in Gir Somnath district.

As per the FIR lodged by victim Dhurvrajsinh, he was attacked and his 15 tola gold and Rs. 43,000 cash from his car were looted by accused. The incident took place on 12th August at Chitrod village of Talala area.

According to FIR, Devayat Khavad and 15 other persons attacked Dhruvrajsinh after hitting his car and broke the glasses of car, used abusive language and also gave death threat, by brandishing a revolver.

On 2oth February 2025 at Sanathal in Ahmedabad, Devayat skipped a Dayro event in which he was invited, following which Devayat’s car was attacked. A case was registered in that connection against Dhruvrajsinh Chauhan and others. On the other hand Dhruvrajsinh’s one of aides filed a complaint of Rs. 8 lakh cheating against Devayat.

As per FIR filed by Dhruvrajsinh, he was attacked at Talala and given a threat for withdrawing his complaint. DeshGujarat
