Western Railway grants stoppage of two key trains at Unjha railway station
August 19, 2025
Mehsana: In a major development for commuters and traders, the Western Railway (WR) has granted additional stoppages at Unjha railway station for two important trains. The Ajmer–Mysuru–Ajmer Bi-weekly Express (Train Nos. 16209/10) and the Lalgarh–Dadar–Lalgarh Ranakpur Daily Express (Train Nos. 14707/08) will now halt at Unjha, enhancing connectivity for North Gujarat.
Unjha is an important commercial hub, and the addition of these two train stoppages will greatly benefit local traders. According to officials, the train service connecting North India to South India was providing very limited benefit to Unjha, one of Mehsana district’s key business centers.
As per the official schedule, starting August 17, the Ajmer–Mysuru Express will stop at Unjha from 12:02 pm to 12:04 pm on the onward journey, while the Mysuru–Ajmer return train will halt at this station from 7:10 am to 7:12 am.
The Lalgarh–Dadar–Lalgarh Ranakpur Daily Express will also begin halting at Unjha from August 17, 2025. Its revised stoppage timings are 8:15 pm to 8:17 pm for the Lalgarh–Dadar route and 11:51 pm to 11:53 pm for the return Dadar–Lalgarh route.
Officials said these stoppages will benefit traders and passengers from Unjha and nearby areas, improving local access to important train services connecting North and South India. DeshGujarat
