Ahmedabad: In a horrific incident, a young man was kidnapped and brutally murdered in the Kagadapith area. Over 10 attackers reportedly assaulted the victim with swords, sticks, and pipes in broad daylight.

The victim, Nitin Patni, was abducted from his workplace and taken to Meghaninagar, where he was beaten severely by a group led by Satish alias Satiyo Patni, Vishal Dantani, Mahesh alias Katto, Bavo, Sajan, and Raj alias Sesu. Nitin was later rushed to the Civil Hospital but succumbed to his injuries despite treatment.

The violent incident is reportedly part of an ongoing gang war within the Patni community. Two days ago, Satish Patni’s brother had been attacked with a sword by Deepak alias Hukko, leaving him critically injured. In apparent retaliation, Nitin was kidnapped and murdered in public.

A police case has been registered at Kagadapith police station under charges of abduction and murder. Akshay Patni, a family member, filed the complaint against the seven accused, who allegedly executed the attack.

Police have arrested three individuals, including Vijay alias Batto Vaghela, Shailesh Gautam, and Poonam Virchand Patni (a rickshaw driver involved in the incident). Two rickshaws used in the crime have been seized. Meanwhile, the main accused – Satish alias Satiyo Patni – along with Vishal alias Buko Dantani, Mahesh alias Katta Patni, Bavo, Raj alias Sesu, and Sajan – are still at large.

According to ACP Yuvrajsinh Gohil, preliminary investigation suggests Satish is associated with the notorious “China gang.” To apprehend the absconding culprits, five dedicated police teams have been formed.

The feud reportedly traces back several years, with previous assaults involving swords and knives. Just days ago, another family member, Vipul, was attacked near his home by Satish and others.
