New Delhi/Surat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme, praised the patriotic work of Jitendra Singh Rathore, a security guard from Surat.
For several years, Rathore has been collecting information and photographs of thousands of soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation since the First World War. Modi said the words of a martyr’s father, “What happened if the son is gone, the homeland is safe,” had deeply moved Rathore and inspired his mission.
Rathore, who works as a security guard at the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) in Surat, has dedicated his life to preserving the memories of fallen soldiers. Modi described his efforts as a source of inspiration for every citizen.
