AAP MLA Vasava Out on Temporary Bail to Attend Gujarat Assembly

Vadodara: AAP’s Dediapada MLA Chaitar Vasava was released from Vadodara Central Jail on Monday to attend the three-day Monsoon Session of the Gujarat Assembly, after being granted temporary bail by the Narmada Sessions Court last week.

In an undertaking before the Gujarat High Court, Vasava agreed to stay in Gandhinagar and not enter Narmada district, where the attempt-to-murder case against him is registered. He also assured that while on interim bail, he would not address the media, issue public statements, or hold gatherings.

As per the court order, Vasava will return to Vadodara Central Jail on September 10, once the session concludes. His plea for regular bail is scheduled to be heard on September 11.

Vasava was arrested on July 5 in connection with an alleged attempt-to-murder case filed by Dediapada BJP president Sanjay Vasava following a physical altercation during a meeting.

On Monday, AAP leaders and supporters gathered outside Vadodara Central Jail, but the MLA refrained from making any statement and quietly left after greeting them. DeshGujarat
