Gujarat HC grants bail to AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava

Ahmedabad: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Dediapada, Chaitar Vasava, was granted bail today in an attempt-to-murder case. The Gujarat High Court has granted the legislator conditional bail, which bars him from entering his constituency for one year.

His bail comes over two months after his arrest on July 5, following a physical altercation with Dediapada Taluka BJP president Sanjay Vasava during a meeting at the Dediapada Prant office. Earlier, Vasava was released from jail on temporary bail to attend the three-day Gujarat Assembly session from September 8 to 10.

The FIR against Vasava cites several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including 109(1) (attempt to murder), 79, 115(2), 118(1), 351(3), 352, and 324(3). DeshGujarat
