Banaskantha: A violent incident occurred at the Santalpur toll plaza when four toll booth employees allegedly attacked a family from Tharad after they raised concerns about the poor condition of the road. The attack, which left three family members injured, including a father and son, was captured on CCTV.
According to police reports, Dilip Sadhu and his family were traveling towards Anjar when they encountered a closed barrier near the Bakutra village toll booth. Despite the road being in bad condition, the family was asked to pay the toll, which led to a confrontation. The toll staff reportedly threatened to set the vehicle on fire and used abusive language before assaulting two men and two women from the family with sticks and rods.
The injured were initially treated at Santalpur government hospital and later shifted to a private hospital in Tharad. Santalpur police have registered a case against the four employees under serious sections of the law, and further investigation is underway.
