Major Fire Breaks Out at Sanghvi Organics Plant in Bharuch

Bharuch: A massive fire broke out on Saturday at Sanghvi Organics Pvt Ltd in GIDC Panoli, Bharuch district, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky and triggering panic in the surrounding industrial area.
Several fire tenders were deployed to the site, and firefighting operations are underway, officials confirmed. The cause of the blaze and the scale of damage are yet to be determined.

Sanghvi Organics, incorporated in 1994 and now part of the Sovika Group, operates a large chemical manufacturing unit at Panoli spread over 13,500 square metres with nearly 90,000 sq ft of factory space. The company is known for producing chlorotoluene derivatives such as benzyl chloride, benzaldehyde and benzyl alcohol, with a plant capacity that has expanded over time to nearly 975 metric tonnes per month. The facility is equipped with specialized equipment made of graphite, Hastelloy C, zirconium, PTFE and glass-lined systems to handle complex chemical processes.
