Ahmedabad: The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has strengthened its global standing by securing the 58th position in the recently announced QS Global MBA Rankings 2026. Among Indian business schools, IIM Bangalore leads at 52nd globally, followed by IIMA, while IIM Calcutta ranks 64th. In total, 14 Indian institutions featured in the global MBA rankings.

In Asia, IIM Ahmedabad emerged as the 9th best business school, with IIM Bangalore at 8th. Leading the Asian rankings are NUS Business School (Singapore), Tsinghua University (China), and Nanyang Business School (Singapore). IIM Calcutta claimed the 11th spot in the Asia-specific rankings.

IIMA also performed strongly in the QS Business Master’s Rankings 2026. In the Postgraduate Management programme, the institute ranked 11th globally, behind IIM Bangalore (7th) and ahead of IIM Calcutta (12th), marking India’s continued presence among the world’s top business programmes. Notably, India’s business schools appeared for the first time in the QS Online MBA rankings, although no institution entered the top 200 in finance programmes.

Globally, Stanford Graduate School of Business topped the list, followed by Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Business School.

IIMA’s performance highlights its growing international recognition and reinforces India’s position in the global business education landscape.
