Jamnagar: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed two individuals in a bribery case involving ₹75,000 in Jamnagar.
According to case details, the complainant, involved in a mining lease at Bhalsan-Beraja village, alleged that Dinsheshbhai Tejabhai Jepar, husband of the Sarpanch of Beraja Gram Panchayat, demanded a bribe of ₹75,000 to ensure no harassment or obstruction from the Beraja Gram Panchayat office regarding their mining activities.
Jepar instructed the complainant to hand over the bribe amount to his accomplice, Hamirbhai Devrajbhai Solanki. However, as the complainant was unwilling to pay, they approached the ACB. Acting on the complaint, the ACB conducted a trap, during which the accused were caught in incriminating conversations and coordinating to receive the bribe. Both accused were apprehended red-handed during the operation. DeshGujarat
