Surat: In a major boost to tourism, the Gujarat government will be building a new rest house at Suvali Beach in the city.

The proposal was presented by MLA Sandeep Desai and approved by the government. The project, estimated at ₹2.2 crore, will include four VIP rooms, a terrace lounge, a kitchen, and parking facilities along the Suvali beachfront.

The foundation stone ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, 24th September 2025, at 10:30 AM at Suvali Beach. The event will be presided over by Sandeep Desai, in the presence of Surat Zilla Panchayat President Bhaviniben Patel and BJP District President Bharatbhai Rathod.

Furthermore, the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited will once again organize the Suvali Beach Festival at the end of November this year.
