Gujarat cabinet reshuffle when? State BJP chief CR Patil’s reply here

Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Jal Shakti Minister & State BJP President C.R. Patil today addressed a press conference at the state party headquarters. After their address, a question was asked about the expansion of the Gujarat cabinet, and Patil’s reply left CM Patel laughing.

When asked about the much-speculated cabinet reshuffle in Gujarat, Patil said, “We will let you know when it happens. We will not make any decisions without informing you.” This response by the state party chief caused amusement among several attendees, including CM Patel.

The press conference solely focused on appealing to citizens to actively participate in the Swadeshi Abhiyan to make India Atmanirbhar.

It’s worth noting that the Bhupendra Patel cabinet has completed over a half term since the 2022 elections in which it got a historic 156-seat win. One minister in the Patel cabinet doesn’t come to the office or join cabinet meetings and government functions, as both his sons are accused of committing a scam in a rural employment scheme linked to construction projects. Another minister doesn’t come to the ministerial office due to poor health. Linkages of one minister from North Gujarat were found with a Ponzi scam operator. Some ministers lack visibility and are hardly recognized outside their constituency. Two ministers were seen giving wrong assurances and facts pertaining to very important infrastructure projects, completely contrary to the ground actualities. BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate in the 2024 general election was trailing by over 24,000 votes in the assembly constituency of a cabinet minister.

Though rumored for the last few months, the highly speculated proposed cabinet reshuffling has not taken place.Even the appointment of a new state party chief has not taken place, though long pending. DeshGujarat
