September 27, 2025
Vadodara: Vadodara MP Hemang Joshi on Thursday inaugurated new passenger amenities at Chhayapuri railway station, including escalators, a foot overbridge, and water coolers on Platforms 1 and 2. He was joined by Vadodara divisional railway manager Raju Bhadke.
Joshi said the upgraded facilities would be particularly beneficial for senior citizens, differently-abled, and ailing passengers. The escalator and foot overbridge, built at a cost of around ₹8 crore, will ease movement between the two platforms, he added.
Additionally, a ‘Shramdaan’ drive under the theme Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath was also held as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign (September 17–October 2). DeshGujarat
