Surat: Yet another incident of a luxury car getting stuck on Dumas Beach in the city has sparked debate over lax enforcement of safety rules at the popular coastal spot. The incident came to light after a video of the car trapped in seawater went viral on social media.

Despite a ban on taking vehicles onto the beach, some visitors continue to flout the rule. In this case, a red Mercedes-Benz got trapped in seawater, and the video of the incident quickly went viral.

Rescue efforts to remove the car from the waterlogged area came to a halt, and eventually, a crane had to be called in to pull the vehicle out of the muddy beach. The entire scene drew the attention of onlookers, many of whom recorded videos of the rescue.

Following the viral video, police summoned the vehicle owner and initiated legal action for violating the beach ban.
