GUJCET 2026: Exam Date, Syllabus, and Structure Announced

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has announced that the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2026 will be conducted on Sunday, 29th March 2026. The exam, mandatory for admission to Degree Engineering and Degree/Diploma Pharmacy courses for Science stream students, will follow the pattern prescribed under the Education Department’s resolution.
The date for filling the application form online for GUJCET-2026, along with the information booklet, will be published on the Board’s website www.gseb.org and will be communicated later, the board said.
Some important information for the GUJCET exam is as follows:
The GUJCET exam will be held on Sunday, 29/03/2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at district-level centers.
GUJCET Syllabus:
According to the GSEB circular, the current syllabus prescribed by the Board for the NCERT-12 Science stream will be followed for the GUJCET-2026 examination.
Exam Pattern:
The Gujarat Common Entrance Test will consist of multiple-choice objective questions in the following subjects. The number of questions, marks, and time allocated are as indicated below:

*The question papers of Physics and Chemistry will be combined. That is, 40 questions of Physics and 40 questions of Chemistry (total 80 questions, 80 marks) will be given 120 minutes to complete. The OMR Answer Sheet will also cover 80 answers.
The question papers of Biology and Mathematics will be separate, and the OMR Answer Sheets will also be separate. Each subject will have 40 questions for 40 marks, with 50 minutes allotted for Biology and 60 minutes for Mathematics. The OMR Answer Sheet for each subject will correspond to 40 answers.
Medium of Examination:
The question papers will be provided in three mediums: Gujarati, English, and Hindi.
