IAF concludes ‘MahaGujRaj-25’ exercise in Western Sector; fighter jets operate from Rajkot Airport

Rajkot: The Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted a massive exercise named “Mahagujraj-25 (MGR-25)” from October 29 to November 11, 2025, in the western sector, showcasing operational excellence and joint readiness. The objective of the exercise was to test the IAF’s multi-domain combat readiness and its capability for coordinated operations, an official press release said.

According to the Air Force, during the exercise, it demonstrated its ability to execute a wide range of missions with efficiency and precision — from air operations to sea and air-to-ground missions. Fighter jets operated from Hirasar International Airport, ensuring a multi-pronged response and optimal utilization of available resources and infrastructure.

The exercise also validated India’s defense preparedness, with integrated operations, advanced technology adoption, and field coordination playing key roles in managing a multi-dimensional battlefield. The exercises underscored that the Indian Air Force follows a fully integrated approach to its missions and maintains a high state of readiness under all conditions, the release added.
