November 15, 2025
Ahmedabad: Gujarat Titans have announced a list of 20 retained players for IPL 2026, placing captain Shubman Gill firmly at the center of their plans.
Along with Gill, the Titans have held on to a strong core of Indian talent. Sai Sudharsan, Shahrukh Khan, Arshad Khan, Nishant Sindhu, Rahul Tewatia, Washington Sundar, Anuj Rawat, Kumar Kushagra, Gurnoor Brar, Ishant Sharma, Jayant Yadav, Manav Suthar, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, and Sai Kishore will once again don the GT blue.
Their consistency and versatility ensure that the skipper will continue to have a dependable group around him as the franchise eyes another title push.
The overseas contingent also features a star-studded lineup. New Zealand all-rounder Glenn Phillips, Afghan spin maestro Rashid Khan, England’s explosive wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler, and the Proteas’ pace spearhead Kagiso Rabada have all been retained, strengthening the Titans’ depth across departments.
On the other side of the retention table, the Titans have decided to part ways with Mahipal Lomror, Dasun Shanaka, Karim Janat, Kulwant Khejroliya, and Gerald Coetzee.
Meanwhile, West Indies all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford will move to the Mumbai Indians following a successful trade, with MI acquiring him at his existing fee of ₹2.6 crore.
Since lifting the trophy in their inaugural 2022 campaign, the hunger for a second title has only grown stronger, and the 2026 season may just be their next big chapter, the team said.
