IndiGo, Akasa Air to connect Ahmedabad Airport with Navi Mumbai Airport from Dec

Ahmedabad: The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport will get direct connectivity to the newly inaugurated Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) next month.
IndiGo will operate the first direct flight between Ahmedabad and Navi Mumbai starting December 25. The flight will depart from SVPI Airport at 11:55 pm and arrive at NMIA at 1:00 am. For passengers travelling to Ahmedabad, the return flight will depart Navi Mumbai at 10:10 am and land at SVPI at 11:15 am.
As of this morning, fares for the new route start at around ₹4,500 on the airline’s website. Along with Ahmedabad, IndiGo will also begin flights connecting NMIA to Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Lucknow, North Goa (Mopa), Jaipur, Nagpur, Kochi and Mangalore from December 25.
Following IndiGo, Akasa Air will launch its Navi Mumbai–Ahmedabad service from December 31, with flights departing Navi Mumbai every Wednesday at 5:40 pm and arriving in Ahmedabad at 6:50 pm.
Bookings for Akasa’s services are now open on the airline’s website, app and travel platforms. The airline noted that this marks a significant milestone in its expansion, with 34 weekly flights already operating from the Mumbai region. DeshGujarat
