Rajkot: Marking a new chapter in modern infrastructure development, the Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) has approved plans for the tallest 145-meter-high skyscraper in the Saurashtra region so far. The building is set to be constructed on the Second Ring Road in Mawadi TP.

This 145-meter-high structure will not only be the tallest skyscraper in Rajkot but also in the entire Saurashtra region. Officials say it will serve as a milestone and motivation for the city’s future high-rise developments. The building is reported to include modern infrastructure, sustainable design, fire safety measures, green building systems, ample parking, and comfortable facilities.

Municipal Commissioner Tushar Sumera stated that following the Tall Building Policy, modern, sustainable, and well-planned development in the city will gain further momentum. He added that the RMC’s main goal is to move Rajkot toward metro-level development, and this project will help elevate the city to new heights.

Past Tall Buildings in Rajkot

Until now, the tallest approved buildings in Rajkot were around 70 meters. The Galaxy Apartments near the Racecourse once held the title of the tallest building in Saurashtra for a decade. Subsequently, multiple 70-meter buildings were constructed along the 150-foot Ring Road, and similar approvals were granted for the new Ring Road.
