When you don’t have a flight, why are you still booking? angry passengers ask IndiGo staff at Ahmedabad airport

Ahmedabad: Passengers across Gujarat endured a second consecutive day of severe disruption as IndiGo flights continued to be delayed or cancelled at major airports, including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Surat. The chaos stems from a nationwide operational meltdown that has grounded more than 300 flights across India in just 48 hours.

With terminals packed and information scarce, frustrated passengers confronted airline staff, demanding transparency. At Ahmedabad Airport, one visibly angry traveller shouted, “When you don’t have a flight, why are you still booking?”

“There’s no pilot… it’s unbelievable! They don’t even have a pilot,” said another.

At Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, key domestic routes were heavily affected. Arrivals from Delhi (6E 6792) and Hyderabad (6E 883 and 6E 6927) were cancelled, while several departures faced lengthy delays. Flight 6E 6687 to Jodhpur, scheduled for 9:20 am, was delayed until 3:05 pm, and flight 6E 6805 to Varanasi was pushed back to 6:45 pm.

Vadodara Airport also reported cancellations, including flights 6E 6662 and 6E 5164 to Delhi. In Surat, flights 6E 492 and 6E 6846 were cancelled, while flight 6E 2646 to Delhi was delayed.

With the crisis unfolding nationwide, passengers at airports across Gujarat have been urged to check the latest flight updates before heading to the airport. DeshGujarat
