Minimum temperature dips across Gujarat; Vadodara coldest among major cities

Ahmedabad: Minimum temperatures across Gujarat on Monday morning showed a slight dip in several districts, with Naliya emerging as the coldest at 11°C, 1.6°C below normal. Rajkot, Baroda, and Porbandar also reported below-normal night temperatures, indicating a mild winter chill over the state.
According to the India Meteorological Department’s weather report, Baroda registered 13°C, a departure of –2.2°C, while Rajkot recorded 13.2°C, 2.4°C below normal.
Surat, as usual, was warmer among major cities and reported a minimum of 19.9°C, 2.8°C above normal, while Gandhinagar recorded 15°C, 2.3°C above normal. Ahmedabad’s minimum stood at 15.5°C, marginally above normal by 1.1°C.
Along the Saurashtra coast, Dwarka (19.4°C) and Okha (21.8°C) recorded higher minimum temperatures, close to normal. Diu (17.1°C) and Bhavnagar (15.8°C) saw marginal variations from climatological averages. Porbandar, being a coastal city, was also colder than normal, with the mercury dropping to 14.6°C.
Kutch stations showed mixed patterns: Bhuj (14.7°C) recorded a slight rise above normal, while Kandla (16.6°C) remained near normal.
Humidity levels at 0830 IST ranged widely from 55% in Veraval to 86% in Bhavnagar. No rainfall was recorded at any station. DeshGujarat
