Kankaria Carnival 2025 to Feature Light & Sound, Drone Show; Guinness Record Attempt

Ahmedabad: The annual Kankaria Carnival 2025 is scheduled to take place at the Kankaria Lakefront premises in Amdavad from December 25 to December 31, 2025.

As per the details shared by the city civic body, the carnival will feature vibrant cultural and entertainment programs every day from morning till evening. These activities will be spread across three main stage areas located within the Kankaria Lakefront perimeter:

Pushpakunj (Stage 1): This stage will host performances by various renowned artists, stand-up comedy shows, rock band performances, and DJ nights. On the opening day, a live performance by Kirtidan Gadhvi and his team is scheduled.

Balvatika (Stage 2): This area will focus on activities such as yoga, pranayama, dance and music training, and folk song performances by municipal school board children. Notable attractions include a dog show and parrot show on December 30.

Vyayam Vidyalaya (Stage 3): This venue will host fitness activities, traditional games, aerobics/Zumba sessions, live painting, and various competitions.

The Kankaria Carnival will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on December 25 at the Pushpakunj stage. The CM will flag off the Kankaria Carnival Parade, followed by the e-dedication and groundbreaking of various development projects of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).

Major Attractions and Highlights

The carnival is known for its diverse attractions, including performances by celebrated artists. Some of the key technological and artistic features include:

  • Shows: Drone Show, Pyro Show, Laser Show, Light and Sound Show, and Musical Fountain.
  • Entertainment: Pet Fashion Show, Clown Festival, Juggler Show, and Stilt Walker.
  • Art and Games: Mehendi Art, Nail Art, Tattoo Making, and Gaming Events.

Guinness World Record Attempt

A major highlight on the opening day, December 25, 2025, will be an attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the Largest Balloon Mosaic Formed by People (Logo).
