Ahmedabad: A total of 76 students from the Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) have qualified for the personality test stage of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025. This marks a significant achievement for Gujarat’s premier administrative training institute, reflecting the effectiveness of its specialized training programs for Civil Services aspirants.

SPIPA, the highest training institute under the Government of Gujarat, has been conducting UPSC training programs since 1992 through its ‘UPSC Civil Services Study Center’ in Ahmedabad. For the 2025 UPSC main examination held in August, a total of 272 SPIPA trainees appeared. The results, published on November 11, 2025, saw 2,736 candidates nationwide qualify for the interview stage. Over the past three years, 160 SPIPA trainees have cleared the personality test. The number of trainees qualifying from the 2024–25 batch has risen from 49 to 76. Moreover, previous SPIPA trainees who have cleared the UPSC mains exam are also eligible to join the institute’s personality test program, meaning the final count may further increase, according to a press release by the Joint Director (Study), SPIPA, Ahmedabad.
