December 18, 2025
Ahmedabad: Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi inaugurated several projects of the Ahmedabad Rural Police, including ADR-Shield, the Blue Circuit Project, the Abhayatri Project, the Aslali Divisional Police Officer’s Office, and the Viramgam Police Line.
Talking about the ADR-Shield project, Sanghavi said the portal will compile data of workers coming from across the country to industrial areas, helping identify criminals living under the guise of employment.
He added that projects like Abhayatri will strengthen public trust in the police and lauded the HRMS initiative for maintaining police personnel data.
Highlighting the unique policing challenges of Ahmedabad Rural Police, Sanghavi said the area includes both urban settlements and remote villages, heritage sites of Harappan culture, and numerous industrial units. He congratulated the police for launching projects for citizens’ service and expressed confidence that they will continue to serve as a role model in earning public trust.
He further noted that, thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, large-scale investments have come to the area, providing employment to thousands. “This development has fulfilled the aspirations of common people, and the police have played a commendable role in maintaining industrial peace,” he said.
During the event, police officers and employees who performed exemplary work were honored by Sanghavi.
An exhibition at the Ahmedabad Rural Police headquarters featured stalls on the Blue Circuit Project for rainwater harvesting, Smart Police Stations, ADR-Shield, Cyber Policing, weapons, dog squad, forensic facilities, and state-of-the-art police vehicles and equipment. The exhibition was visited with interest by dignitaries, including the Deputy Chief Minister. DeshGujarat
