Gujarat cities see drop in minimum temperatures; Vadodara coldest at 11.2°C

Ahmedabad: Major cities in Gujarat witnessed a noticeable drop in minimum temperatures last night, following a relatively normal night a day earlier, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
Ahmedabad recorded a minimum temperature of 14.2 degrees Celsius, slightly above normal by 0.6 degrees but lower than the previous night.
Surat saw its night temperature fall to 18.1 degrees Celsius, 1.5 degrees above normal, indicating a cooler start to the day.
Rajkot reported a minimum of 15.0 degrees Celsius, just 0.9 degrees above the seasonal average. Vadodara experienced a sharper drop, with a minimum of 11.2 degrees Celsius, 2.8 degrees below normal, making it the coldest city along with Amreli, which also logged 11.2 degrees Celsius, 1.5 degrees below normal.
Other parts of the state also recorded cooler night temperatures. Bhavnagar recorded 14.0 degrees Celsius, slightly below the usual minimum. Gandhinagar reported 13.5 degrees Celsius, 1.8 degrees above normal, while Deesa logged 13.6 degrees Celsius, 2.4 degrees above the seasonal average.
Coastal areas remained relatively mild, with Dwarka at 20.0 degrees Celsius and Okha at 21.1 degrees Celsius.
In Kutch and adjoining regions, Bhuj recorded a minimum temperature of 16.1 degrees Celsius, significantly above normal by 3.7 degrees, while Naliya also saw a higher-than-normal minimum of 14.8 degrees Celsius.
No rainfall was reported in any part of the state over the past 24 hours. Humidity levels varied between 51 and 86 percent, with coastal regions experiencing higher moisture.
