Online appointments, walk-in facility for passport applicants at Ahmedabad RPO from Jan 1

Ahmedabad: In a move to streamline enquiries and document submissions related to pending passport applications, new arrangements will come into effect from January 1, 2026, at the Regional Passport Office (RPO) in Ahmedabad.

According to the RPO, 100 online appointments will be made available on all working days for applicants seeking to make enquiries or submit documents. Applicants can visit the office by pre-scheduling an appointment on a date and time convenient to them.

In addition, passport applicants will be allowed to visit the Regional Passport Office at University Road, Gulbai Tekra, Ahmedabad, without a prior appointment on Mondays and Wednesdays (except on holidays) between 10.00 am and 1.00 pm for enquiries or document submission.

Applicants can also check the status of their passport applications through alternative channels, including telephone at 079-26300603, email at rpo.ahmedabad@mea.gov.in, and on X (formerly Twitter) via the official handle @rpoahmedabad.

The Regional Passport Office has advised applicants to carry all necessary original documents when visiting the office for enquiries or submission of documents to ensure smooth and timely processing of their requests. DeshGujarat
