Dahod: The Ratlam Division of Western Railway achieved significant infrastructure milestones with the commissioning of a new rail section. The 11.30-km stretch between Dahod and Katwara, developed under the ambitious Dahod–Indore New Broad Gauge Rail Line Project, has now been opened for operations. Being built at a cost of ₹1,873.10 crore, the new Dahod–Indore New Broad Gauge railway line is expected to play a crucial role in accelerating economic development in the tribal-dominated region.
In another significant achievement aimed at enhancing railway safety, a 232.9-km-long public trial of the advanced ‘Kavach’ train collision prevention system was successfully conducted on the Godhra–Nagda section. The completion of this trial marks an important step towards strengthening operational safety across the route. DeshGujarat
