Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has reconstituted four talukas—Kapadvanj, Kathlal, Thasra and Fagvel, under the provisions of the Gujarat Land Revenue Code, 1879, through a notification published in the Extraordinary Gujarat Government Gazette on December 31, 2025.

According to the notification issued by the Revenue Department, the decision has been taken under Section 7 of the Gujarat Land Revenue Code, 1879, and supersedes all previous notifications related to the constitution of these talukas. The reorganisation has come into effect from December 31, 2025.

As per the notification, the existing areas of Kapadvanj, Kathlal, Thasra and Fagvel talukas have been redivided to formally constitute four separate talukas. Kapadvanj taluka will have its headquarters at Kapadvanj, Kathlal taluka at Kathlal, Thasra taluka at Thasra, and Fagvel taluka at Fagvel.

Each newly constituted taluka will comprise villages listed in separate schedules annexed to the notification—Schedule A for Kapadvanj, Schedule B for Kathlal, Schedule C for Thasra and Schedule D for Fagvel. DeshGujarat
