Gujarat sees cooler day temperatures, Mercury rises in most parts during night

Ahmedabad: Several parts of Gujarat recorded below-normal daytime temperatures on Monday, while nights remained cool but close to normal across most parts, according to the Indian Meteorological Department’s weather bulletin.
Ahmedabad registered a maximum temperature of 24.6°C, which was 3°C below normal, while the minimum settled at 13.4°C, slightly above average. Gandhinagar remained one of the coolest during the day, recording a maximum of 24.5°C – 4°C below normal and a minimum of 11.2°C.
Vadodara and Bhavnagar also experienced cooler-than-usual conditions, with maximum temperatures of 27.4°C and 26.2°C, respectively, both 2°C below normal. In contrast, Rajkot and Surat were comparatively warmer, recording highs of 30.5°C and 30.8°C, exceeding normal levels by 2°C and 1°C, respectively.
The coldest night in the state was reported at Naliya in Kutch, where the minimum temperature dropped to 7.5°C, which is 2.1°C below normal. Other cool pockets included Deesa (11.0°C), Gandhinagar (11.2°C), Bhuj (11.4°C) and Rajkot (11.4°C).
Coastal areas remained relatively mild, with minimum temperatures of 19.3°C at Okha, 17.6°C at Veraval and 16.0°C at Diu and Dwarka. Daman recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 31.8°C.
Meteorological officials indicated that the overall weather across Gujarat remained dry, with cool mornings and relatively mild afternoons prevailing over most districts. DeshGujarat
