Minimum temperatures near normal across Gujarat; no cold wave conditions

Ahmedabad: Night temperatures across Gujarat remained largely near to slightly above normal on Wednesday, with most regions recording cool but stable conditions, according to the latest weather bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department this morning.
Naliya in Kutch emerged as the coldest location in the state, recording a minimum temperature of 9.0°C, marginally below normal. Rajkot followed with 10.1°C, which was 2.4 degrees below the seasonal average, indicating comparatively cooler conditions in parts of Saurashtra.
Bhuj recorded a minimum of 10.2°C, slightly below normal, while Deesa registered 11.4°C, about 1.4 degrees above normal. Amreli reported 11.6°C, close to its climatological average.
In central Gujarat, Gandhinagar recorded a minimum of 13.4°C, around 2.8 degrees above normal, while Ahmedabad saw 14.4°C, which was 2.1 degrees higher than usual for this time of year. Vadodara registered 15.0°C, remaining nearly 2 degrees above normal.
Coastal areas remained relatively warmer overnight. Surat reported 15.8°C, and Veraval recorded 16.7°C, both slightly above normal. Okha registered the highest minimum among reported stations at 17.2°C, though still marginally below normal.
Meteorological officials said the overall pattern indicates stable winter conditions across the state, with no significant cold wave impact at present. No rainfall was reported from any station during the past 24 hours.
