Mosque, other illegal structures demolished in Adipur on Government land

Bhuj: In a major demolition drive against illegal encroachment, the teams of Gandhidham Municipal Corporation (GMC) in Kutch district demolished twenty illegal structures including a local Jama mosque and recovered about 2,000 square meter land worth Rs. 4 crore in Ghoda Camp area of Adipur.
Notices were served to 20 illegal structures including commercial, residential and religious units that were occupying the government land owned by GMC. The occupants were asked to vacate the land voluntarily or face demolition.
The demolition drive was concluded peacefully in presence of large number of police men from Kutch(East) and Fire Brigade jawans. Over a dozen vehicles were used for this drive. The demolition work continued through the night. DeshGujarat
