ABVP Gujarat Announces New State Office Bearers at 57th Convention in Anand

Anand, January 16, 2026: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Gujarat declared its new state office bearers on the concluding day of its 57th State Convention held in Anand. The newly elected leadership will be responsible for guiding the organization’s activities and student movement across the state in the coming term.
As per the announcement made at the convention, Dr Laxmanbhai Bhutadiya from Patan has been appointed as the State President again. The five State Vice Presidents include Prof Bharatbhai Prajapati from Karnavati Mahanagar, Dr Prafulbhai Chudasama from Bharuch, Dr Shantiben Trivedi from Mehsana and Prof Manmitbhai Vadher from Kutch West. Devanshbhai Brahmabhatt from Karnavati Mahanagar has been named State Secretary.
The team of State Joint Secretaries comprises Hetviben Vyas from Anand, Akshaybhai Tadvi from Narmada, Jaydeepsinh Gohil from Bhavnagar, Pujilbhai Patel from Gandhinagar and Ritivikbhai Bhila from Jamnagar. Himalaysinh Zala from Karnavati Mahanagar will serve as State Organization Secretary, while Nilay Kulkarni from Karnavati Mahanagar has been appointed State Office Secretary and Rajbhai Kothari as State Joint Office Secretary. Dr Mukeshbhai Goyani from Surat Mahanagar has taken charge as State Treasurer and Dr Sandeepbhai Dholakiya from Gandhinagar as State Joint Treasurer. The 57th State Convention of ABVP Gujarat was held in Anand under the theme “Sardar’s message of national unity is the aim of Gujarat’s student power,” marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The convention was inaugurated by Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harshbhai Sanghavi, who addressed senior and active workers of the organization and encouraged students to play a constructive role in nation-building and social development.
During the convention, student representatives from across Gujarat participated in detailed discussions on various educational, social and sports-related issues. Three major resolutions were presented and debated in the first proposal session. These included concerns over the effective implementation of the National Education Policy, issues related to Gujarat Common Admission Services and the poor condition of certain student hostels. In the social resolution, matters such as GST awareness, carbon credit and countering anti-national activities were discussed. The sports resolution focused on the need to strengthen sports infrastructure in view of the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Karnavati, better coordination by the Sports Authority of Gujarat and formulation of a long-term sports development roadmap.
A special exhibition named after Veer Vitthalbhai Patel was organized at the venue, also marking the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the 500th birth anniversary of Rani Abbakka, the RSS centenary year and the centenary year of Prof Yashwantrao Kelkar. On the second day of the convention, a traditional Shobha Yatra was taken out from the convention venue to Bhai Kaka Chowk, where it culminated in a public meeting. Participants raised slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram during the procession, which was warmly welcomed by local residents and social organizations with flower showers. Student leaders from various districts addressed the gathering, highlighting concerns related to education and social issues.
On the final day, students presented suggestions on various academic challenges and shared their views on the future direction of ABVP’s student movement.
