Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel Visits New Delhi

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today flew to the national capital, New Delhi, for a two-day visit. The visit is primarily related to the election of the National President of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
As per the schedule issued by the party’s National Returning Officer and Member of Parliament, K Laxman, nominations may be submitted between 2 pm and 4 pm. All stages of the election will be conducted at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi. If necessary, voting will be held tomorrow, followed by the declaration of results on the same day. The party’s National Working President, Nitin Nabin, will file his nomination today for the post of the party’s National President.
The BJP national president is elected by an electoral college comprising members of the party’s national council and state councils. Therefore, to participate in the two-day election process, several senior BJP leaders from Gujarat will be in Delhi, including Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma, State Organisation General Secretary Ratnakar, and other senior leaders.
