Minimum temperatures rise across Gujarat after one-night plunge

Ahmedabad: Minimum temperatures rose again across most parts of Gujarat last night after a brief plunge a night earlier, bringing relatively milder night conditions. Several cities recorded minimum temperatures above normal, indicating a short-lived cold spell. Ahmedabad logged a minimum temperature of 17°C, which is 4.5°C above normal, while Vadodara recorded 16.2°C, 2.8°C higher than usual.
Naliya recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 10.4°C, close to normal, while Rajkot recorded 12.3°C, slightly below normal. Bhavnagar (16.6°C), Bhuj (15°C), Surat (16.8°C) and Veraval (17.4°C) also reported above-normal night temperatures.
Deesa recorded 13°C and Gandhinagar 13.5°C, both marginally above normal. Coastal areas such as Dwarka (18°C), Okha (19.6°C), Daman (17.2°C) and Diu (15.7°C) continued to witness comparatively warmer nights due to higher humidity.
