SYSTRA emerges lowest bidder for signalling, ticketing PMC contract for Bullet Train Project

Ahmedabad: The Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) Project has reached a key milestone, with SYSTRA emerging as the lowest bidder for a major Project Management Consultancy (PMC) contract covering signalling, telecommunication, SCADA, and ticketing systems for India’s first bullet train corridor.

According to the financial bid results, France-based SYSTRA quoted ₹612.4 crore, while Spain-based Ayesa Ingenieria y Arquitectura submitted a bid of ₹661 crore, making it the second-lowest bidder. The contract is being awarded by the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), which had invited tenders for the long-term consultancy package in August 2025.

The consultancy assignment involves project management services for critical operational systems, including Signalling and Telecommunication, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and the Ticketing System. These components are considered essential for ensuring safe, reliable, and technology-driven operations on the high-speed rail network.

The 508-km Mumbai–Ahmedabad bullet train corridor, currently under construction, will connect Maharashtra and Gujarat through 12 stations: Mumbai (BKC), Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad, and Sabarmati. DeshGujarat
