Minimum temperatures rise across Gujarat, bringing warmer nights

Ahmedabad: After taking a plunge over the past two to three days, minimum temperatures rose across most parts of Gujarat, bringing warmer nights. The latest weather report issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) this morning shows that mercury levels in many cities remain above normal.
Among the major cities, Ahmedabad reported a minimum temperature of 15.9°C, which is 3.1°C above normal, while Vadodara recorded 16.8°C, around 3.2°C higher than average.
Surat experienced the warmest night among these cities, with the minimum temperature touching 20°C nearly 4.7°C above normal reflecting significantly milder winter conditions in south Gujarat.
Rajkot also saw above-normal minimum temperatures at 15°C, along with a maximum temperature of 31.7°C, suggesting both warmer days and nights in the region.
The state capital Gandhinagar recorded a warmer night at 15.5°C, around 3.5°C above average, while Bhavnagar registered 17.7°C, both more than 3°C above normal. Coastal areas also remained relatively warm, with Veraval recording 18.7°C and Okha reporting a minimum of 19°C.
Kutch and north Gujarat, however, remained comparatively cooler. Naliya recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 8.6°C, though it was only slightly below normal. Deesa recorded 11.8°C, while Bhuj reported 12.6°C, both close to seasonal averages.
Maximum temperatures during the previous day were mostly below normal in several cities. Ahmedabad recorded a maximum of 26.2°C, 2.5°C below normal, while Amreli registered 27.9°C, 2°C below average. Rajkot and Surat were among the few places where daytime temperatures stayed above normal, with Rajkot recording 31.7°C and Surat touching 32°C.
The weather department reported no rainfall across Gujarat, and relative humidity levels ranged from moderate to high, particularly in coastal districts. DeshGujarat
