Vadodara civic body to shut three key roads to traffic
January 30, 2026
Vadodara: The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) will shut down three key roads in the western part of the city for sewerage-related work. The closures are expected to last for at least 20 days.
The civic body has undertaken major projects, including urgent repairs of a damaged manhole chamber on a main drainage line near Squirrel Circle in the Atladara-Kalali area, along with the installation of two new drainage lines in Vasna and Gotri.
The service road near the Kalali bridge close to Squirrel Circle will remain closed for 20 days as repair work is carried out.
VMC will also begin laying a new drainage line on the stretch from the Gotri water tank to Priya Cinema, requiring partial road closures along with nearby smaller sections. However, the civic body has not announced exact closure dates for all routes, stating that restrictions will be imposed as needed.
In addition, the busy road from Sindhi Market near Iskcon Circle in Vasna to the Swaminarayan temple will stay closed until February 18 for drainage line construction. DeshGujarat
